Object history | These designs were exhibited at the South Kensington Museum prior to their acquisition and also shown at the Society of Arts in London. They were presented by the artist in 1880. Louisa Leila Leezinka Waterhouse Hawkins was born in London on 7 November 1841. She was the daughter of Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins and the artist Frances "Louisa" Keenan. Her father is best known for creating the dinosaur models in the Crystal Palace Park. |
