The following is the full text of the entry: St Thomas touching the wounds of Christ Inscribed in ink in an old hand ‘Del Zuccari’ and again in another hand ‘once 2’ Pen and ink and wash over black chalk under drawing 14 1/8 – 8 7/8 (358 x 225) 8638 E PROVENANCE Given in 1880 by Miss Georgiana Lornlin LITERATURE Catherine Goguel, 'Filippo Bellini da Urbino della scuola del Baraccio' in Master Drawings, 13, 1975, 364, no. 13. The drawing is too poor for Zuccaro himself, but may be by a follower or imitator. Mme Goguel qualifies her attribution to Bellini by saying that perhaps only the black chalk drawing is by him.
