Place of origin |
The doll has an adult body, reverse socket head, rigid arms bent at the elbows and soft legs with internal knee mechanism. It is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. The feet are designed to have heeled shoes and the doll will not stand unaided. The hands are moulded with the four fingers together and a separate thumb. On the left hand is a 'gold' ring. The face is designed to represent Posh Spice, Victoria Adams, with brown eyes and straight black saran rooted hair which has been stiffened.
Black nylon fabric minidress, slightly stretchy and shiny; sleeveless, short and fastening at the back with black velcro. The straps are thick threads and there is a thread between each at the back. Inside is a small white unmarked label sewn into a seam.
Other accessories are a pair of high heeled shoes, with thickish heel, open toe and ankle strap with a small knob closure. Black plastic handbag with strap handle; it does not open. A silver plastic wrist watch which clips onto the wrist. A handheld cone-shaped microphone of black plastic.
The packaging is a window box of card printed in colours to show the title, maker's details, details about Victoria Adams, photographs of the Spice Girls and the signature of Victoria. It opens top and bottom. Inside it is a folded and shaped card insert printed in pink with white and yellow starbursts representing stage lights. In the back are sets of small holes through which plastic covered wires are threaded. These are placed around the body and limbs of the doll to support it when boxed. The head is held by two plastic lengths which have to be cut away from the back of the head.
