Chair, walnut and parcel-gilt, with green velvet cover trimmed with silk braid, attributed to the Roberts family, Britain, ca. 1720
Physical description
Chair, with cabriole front legs and heavily raked back legs, terminating in square hoofed feet; rectangular back with rounded corners, covered in green velvet.
Credit line
Accepted by HM Government in lieu of Inheritance Tax and allocated to the Victoria and Albert Museum
