These designs are twelve preliminary working sketches, showing a variety of views, for the stool known as the 'Flight' stool and related furniture including a table, two chairs, and a table and two benches. The furniture is designed to be made out of continous sheets of plywood. A working sketch is a drawing often made rapidly to express the designer's first thoughts about the shape of an object, and in this case from a variety of viewpoints. The designs were by the firm of designers, Barber Osgerby Associates, based in London.
