Object history
The draughtsmanship is hesitant and not typical of Pugin. The crosses crosslet fitchy were used in the arms of Helen Lumsden, whim Pugin hoped to marry as his third wide. It seems possible that this is a design for either her wedding dress of veil which were being made up by Crace.
