Provenance: part of an album assembled by Rev. Dr Thomas Penrose (1770–1851), Shaw House, nr Newbury, West Berks, and Writtle-cum-Roswell, Essex; his second cousin, Henry Richard Eyre (1813–76), Shaw House (the binding of the album embossed, Drawings / the gift of / Dr Penrose / to / Henry R. Eyre ); his son Douglas Eyre (b. 1857), Shaw House, by whom given to the museum (L. 2503), 17 November 1922.
