Object history | Part of a two-light window from the South side of the nave of St. James, Gravesend (built 1852). The panel which would have been placed alongside to the left would have depicted the three Marys at the Tomb. A record of the commission exists in the account book of Thomas Willement in the National Art Library, p.530. This states that the panels cost £65. The Reverend H. H. Swinny M.A. paid a total of £69.16.6 to Willement, a sum which included copper wire guard and studs, packing and travel expenses. |
