This is a poster promoting contraception, issued by the Family Planning Association. The poster reminded men of the risk of unwanted pregnancy at a time when it was often claimed that ‘sexual liberation’ was transforming British life. A very well-known image, it was reused by the Newspaper Publishers Association in 1991 to illustrate the power of advertising.
