Place of origin |
After the Second World War ended in 1945, the British Government commissioned many 'welfare' posters for an extended range of social responsibilities. However, before the War the initiative had usually been taken by charities and campaigning bodies. This poster by the Health and Cleanliness Council draws a connection, in the style of a children's book, between cleanliness and happiness.
