Pewter measure with a small circular foot, pear-shaped body, handle, domed hinged lid and thumb-piece. On the lid is a medallion with a thistle surmounted by a crown and the word IMPERIAL. Marks: Round the rim, an excise mark of Victoria and the word GILL, under the lid the words KINNIBURGH & SON - EDINBURGH.
