Object history
Said to be from the tomb of Asaf Khan. The registered description for IS.24-1887 noted 'Together with Nos. 25 and 26/'87 it was secured from a heap of rubbish during Captn. Cole's restoration of Indian Monumts'. The condition of this tile was noted: 'Chipped. Small pieces of glaze missing'.

Purchased from R. Poyser Esq., 6 Cyprus Villas, Arthur Street, Aldershot. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Museum records (Asia Department registers and/or Central Inventory) as part of a 2023 provenance research project
