This tablet was almost certainly aquired by the British Institute of Industrial Art as an example of lettering in stone. On acquisition it was said to date from 1923. The Latin inscription reads: H I C J A C E T / ANNA / HOPE / QUIOBIIT / MCMXXI (Here lies Anna Hope, who died in 1921).
