Object history
The 'Fennia' range was the result of an order for decorative patterns designed by a "famous Finnish artist" placed in 1900 by an American importer. The artist has never been identified although there has been much unfounded speculation that he might have been one of the three most famous Finnish architects of the time, Armas.

Lindgren, Eliel Saarinen or Herman Gesellius. In 1914 thirty designs in this range were in production; the range was discontinued in the early 1920s.
