Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
Woman's dress (cheongsam or qipao) of acid green, transparent plain woven rayon, with a self patterned brocaded large green spot design. It has long sleeves which are left unlined and are therefore see-through. The rest of the dress is lined with a green synthetic, tightly woven satin. Games of Transparence, the lining is visible through the loosely woven plain weave fabric.
The knee length garment has a high, stiffened collar, a hidden press stud fastening in the upper seam of the right shoulder and a hidden zip in the side seam. The dress has short slits at the sides. There are bust darts at the front and waist darts at back and front. Some tailoring mistakes have been noted.
