Photograph of Ford Street, featuring various shop fronts with awnings creating an almost continuous covered walkway. Businesses include C. Lyon Tobacconist, R. Finch General Clothier & Outfitter, J. Dawson Drapers, Collier & Lawrence Saddlers and more. Most notably, however, is the presence of A. Hall Portrait Rooms, which was established in 1856 and operated by Algernon Hall. A number of men are standing beneath the tobacconist's awning.
