This relief was collected by John Charles Robinson during his travels in Italy in October and November 1880. Despite being acquired in Italy, this devotional relief is likely to be English, and may have been exported to the Continent at an early date. Large numbers of English alabaster reliefs were exported during the15th century.

These objects had been collected by Robinson during his travels in Italy from October to November 1880. Despite being acquired in Italy this devotional relief is likely to be English, and may have been exported to the Continent at an early date. |
