This evening dress is of black velvet with diamante detail around the waist and shoulders. It was designed by Valentino, New York, for Princess Stanislaus Radziwill in 1969. She, along with Jacqueline Kennedy, was one of Valentino's most ardent supporters

Physical description

Evening dress of black velvet, lined with black taffeta. The bodice and skirt are joined by a broad band of heavy open-work braid decorated with diamanté. The shoulders of the dress are also decorated with the braid. The dress is fastened at the back with a zipper.
