Although she holds a vina this figure has only two arms and no other attributes to firmly identify her as Sarasvati rather than an attendant or celestial musician. Her (South Indian) crown, costume and lalitasana pose, however, may suggest divinity. The lotus pedestal is very clumsily modelled by classical South Indian standards but this is a late, modest image. Brassy colour and no wear.
