Middle East, Metalwork. Curved steel blade with the remains of a cartouche, formerly damascened. The carved wooden hilt is decorated with oval silver studs and steel quillons with gold kuftkari. Iran, Islamic arms and armour. Inter-departmental transfer to MES, RF 2011/1170.
