Physical description
Design, probably full-size, for a panel of painted decoration, showing a lion ermine rampant supporting a shield. The lion stands against a background of oak leaves and acorns. The top of the design follows a traceried outline and the bottom rises steeply from left to right.

Object history
May have been intended for an eclesiastical purpose, such as the back of stall, or for a domestic one, such as wall decoration within a gothic room. The shapes of the panels make it clear that they were not planned for the Houses of Parliament.
