Inscribed, probably in J.H. Powell's hand 'Frame A'; 'section of frame A'; 'Burnished gold'; 'all dead gold'; 'Bright gold bands'; 'dead'; 'tooled as shewn on tracing'; 'bright'.
Object history
The section and pattern shown are not identical with those given on E.1584-1912, which is called 'Frame B', but the similarities seem to be sufficient to connect this drawing for an alternative scheme for the same project.
