Inscribed 'Octagon table; brace 1/4 size; brace real size; a model to be sent for this; these are terminated with angle / piece / and pinned / from the top'; and stamped 'John G. Crace & Son / Wigmore St. W.'
Object history
IN this design there is a major alteration in the treatment of the base of the table: the braces no longer go in towards the centre of the table but are places in pairs between the legs, emphasising the square shape made by the stretchers.
