Middle East, Metalwork. For a dagger (Khanjar), watered steel over a wooden core with chiselled calligraphic panels at the collar and a broad band of floral ornament decorated with silver kuftkari borders. Iran; Arms and armour. Inter-departmental transfer to MES, RF 2011/1170.

Middle East, Metalwork. Watered steel chiselled blade decorated with broad calligraphic panels infilled with dark lacquer and gold kuftkari borders. The blade root is decorated with figurative motifs and floral ornament. The steel hilt is decorated with chiselled calligraphic panels top and bottom with figurative motifs on both faces, formerly decorated with silver kuftkari. Iran; Persian; Arms and armour. Inter-departmental transfer to MES, RF 2011/1170.
