Drawing from one of two albums containing 294 measured drawings, tracings, sketches, and engravings of Italian buildings, architectural details, sculpture, decoration, antiquities, chiefly at Rome, including a series of drawings of the Pantheon. Some of the drawings are by Richard Norris ( -1792), to whom the volumes, which contain his book-plate, belonged; but many are by other hands including Charles-Louis Clérisseau (1721-1820) and Giuseppe Manocchi (1731-1782). The volumes are lettered at the back, “Sketches taken in Italy 1769”.
