Costume design by Lez Brotherston for a Man dressed as a Boat in the opera "Ariadne auf Naxos", Opera Zuid, Theater aan het Vrijthof, Maastricht, 1993.
Physical description
Costume design for an unidentified character dressed as a boat. The design depicts a full length male figure wearing a costume made into the shape of a large boat, and attached to the figure with braces worn over the shoulders. To the right of the figure are two drawings showing a side and aerial view of the boat. The printed words "Ariadne" and "Opera Zuid" have been glued directly onto the design. Annotated but unsigned by the artist.

The production was directed by Aidan Lang, conducted by Ivor Bolton, and the lighting was designed by Paul Pyant.
