In 1688 the English Parliament invited William of Orange and his wife Mary to replace the exiled king James II. They brought with them from Holland their architect and designer Daniel Marot (about 1660-1752), who transformed their chosen residence, Hampton Court. The Water Garden at the palace included a dairy. The 'Greek A' factory at Delft in Holland made the milk pans for the dairy to Marot's design.

Summary
