Copy of a 14th century painting on the wooden vaulting of the Chapter House in York Cathedral. It depicts a figure of a woman symbolic of the synagogue. She is blindfolded and there is a crown on her shoulder, as if falling down. She is also holding a spear bent in two places in one hand and a red and gold box in the other.
