Fragment of panel, possibly originally part of altar frontal, of two different qualities of red silk - one ribbed. Two straw stalks plaits of various thicknesses couched with yellow silk thread to form design; large foliations with five-petalled flowers in the interspaces and border of s-forms. Within the straw design gilt metal spangles, once gold gilted. The silks are backed with course linen and additional rectangular piece of glazed red coloured linen along the border.
A lot of secondary stitching to the piece.
