Physical description
This fragment is the bottom left-hand portion of an Annunciation panel. The archangel Gabriel, wearing a tiara bearing a cross, an alb and amice and a cloak fastened with a brooch, kneels on a projection. His alb is gathered at the waist by a cord. He points at a scroll which curves round the stem of a lily plant bearing three flowers, standing in a ewer. The scroll no doubt carried an inscription of his salutation.
