Object history | This engraving is part of a set entitled 'Le Grand Escallier De Versailles'. The set comprises a title-page and plates (6), which depict frescoes by Charles Le Brun on the ceiling of the Ambassadors' staircase at the Palace of Versailles. The original copperplates are in the Chalcographie du Louvre (Angoulvent 1007-1013); other impressions from them are in the Department of Prints and Drawings, E.6204-6210-1958. |
