| Historical context | 'Members of the Donga Tribe helped Fraggle assemble this garments outfit by contributing tiny garments which they had acquired at different times and various sources. Their budge is limited and new clothes are not central to their existence so, in a time-honoured tradition, clothes are passed down form brothers and sisters. Babies are often given gifts of handmade garments. Elements such as the patchwork poncho and rainbow hat mirror the style of adult travellers.' |
