Object history
An oil painting of the same title, but with a variant design, was exhibited at the British Institution in 1826, and was repainted and shown at the Royal Academy in 1837. An impression of the engraving after the oil painting (T.B.Appendix 8,7), is in the Department of Prints and Drawings, E.5413-1960.
