Place of origin |
In the top right hand side is a male portrait (Viijay Anand) which has been 'painted -over' in shades of blue and pink. Below him on the left hand side is a female portrait (Jaya Badhuri, who became a household name after this film) and in the centre of the two is a smaller female figue indicating that the narrative dilemma revolves around her. The two female images are in natural tones and contrast with the pink and blue image of the male portrait. The female figure is in a sari and the portrait with eyes emphasised and bindi on her forehead indicates her 'traditional' character. The English title is in large lettering in the bottom right hand side and the Hindi title is in much smaller lettering in the bottom left hand side. the artist's signature is in the top right hand corner.
