Rectangular watercolour painting in muted tones depicting leaves broadly oval in shape, 4-6 or more inches long, pointed at apex, rounded at base, with entire or coarsely few-toothed margin, hairy beneath, on long stalks. Flowers fragrant, in compact clusters to 4 inches across appear at branch tips, single-flowered in the wild form. Calyx hairy, with five pointed segments. Corolla white or pink-tinted, with slender tube and rounded lobes, stamens longly exserted. The root is used as a medicament in treatment of skin diseases.
