It is one of the facsimile in Pond's and Knapton's Imitations of Drawings. For an illustration of the etches see H. M. Hake, 'Pond's and Knapton's imitations of drawings' in the Print Collector's Quarterly, 9, 1922, p. 330. The drawing is boubtless one of those rather numerous replicas which seem to have emanated from Cambiaso's studio. It was formerly attributed in the Museum to Benjamin West.
