Fine cotton, unfinished woman's night-dress top embroidered with broderie anglaise. Formalised patterns of round holes with tightly overcast satin edges decorate the blouse around the contour. Stylised floral design with plain overcast leaves and outlined petals is visible on the lower edge of the blouse on both sides. The blouse carries a London Missionary Society's label showing the blouse's provenance place (Trivandrum) and the number 400.
