Two men are depicted fighting in the centre of a candlelit room, one dressed in military uniform with a sword. A woman in the foreground with clasped hands appears to be pleading with them. A man and two women are standing behind the scene to the left. Another figure is emerging from between curtains to the right and appears unwell.
