| Physical description | The poster is dominated by a large scale portrait of Anarkali (Bina Rai) adorned with jewellery. Below her and in the bottom left hand corner on a much smaller scale is the portrait of Prince Salim (Pradeep Kumar) in historical costume. In the background there is a archway from which we can see the moon and stars. All refer to the period setting of this classic Mughal romance which tells of the love affair between the Prince Salim (later to be the Emperor Jahangir) and a court dancer. The English title runs across the bottom of the poster and the Hindi title at the top left hand side. |
