This flag, adopted by the Indian national congress in 1931, was an early version of India's national flag. The spinning wheel was a nationalist symbol which represented Gandhi's call to the masses to spin their own cotton in defiance of British imports.

Physical description
The front cover is printed in black, white and red. In the top left hand corner is a portrait of a woman (Kamini Kaushal) depicted in red. Below her is a male portrait (Dilip Kumar) wearing a Ghandi cap and depicted in black and white. Below them is the English title, in red with blood dripping from it. In the bottom left hand side is a crowd scene with people waving an early version of the flag of India. The Hindi and Urdu titles are in the bottom right hand side.

The inside front cover has a synopsis of the film in Hindi and the next four pages have song lyrics in Hindi. The next two have song lyrics in Bengali and the final two pages have the equivalent in Urdu. The back cover has a list of film credits in English along with an advertisement for Filmistan's next film.
