Dimensions	Height: 4.125in Width: 3.125in Dimensions taken from Victoria and Albert Museum Charles Dickens: An exhibition to celebrate the centenary of his death London: HMSO, 1970. The entry in the catalogue (see 'Reference note' field in History and References) does not make explicitly clear which of the two dimensions cited relates to the three objects listed. It is assumed that the dimensions 41/8 x 31/8 relate to 9703.L and 41/4 x 31/4 relate to 9704.K, and that there are no dimensions cited for 9538.12.

Object history	An earlier version of this etching has the main design surrounded by a border, considered so grotesque that it was cancelled in subsequent editions.
