This furnishing fabric called 'Prisms' is made from rayon and cotton. It was woven in France about 1931. From the late 1920s designs were increasingly abstract and more muted in colour. Textural effects began to assume more importance. Much of the pattern of this fabric derives from the textures of different weaves.
