Object history
Made by Jaider Baghel, one of the craftsmen brought from India to The Living Arts Exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery for the Festival of India, 1982.
In the Bastar tribal area of Madhya Pradesh art and craft are part of their life, and practising the traditional dhokra (lost wax) art for many centuries.
