William Clyne Farquharson (1906-1972) was employed at John Walsh Walsh from 1924 probably until 1951. The earliest designs known to be by him are from about 1934-5. This example, 'Leaf', (which 17/4d) is one of four, with 'Kendal', Barry' and 'Albany' which were launched in 1936 and were his most successful designs.
