Devotees worshipping at a shrine, depicting three jewels set in the middle of the altar, in the form of flower-wheel symbolizing the act of putting in motion the Wheel of the Law through the First Sermon, from which alone the triratna can develop. The five monks surrounding in adoration the triratna- besides the Vajrapani on the upper left- by their number also indicate the First Sermon of the Buddha. Vajrapani is holding the thunderbolt in his left hand in the background.
