Turkish-born, London-based designer Rifat Ozbek is noted for his use of vivid colours and ornamentation on classic silhouettes, drawing on diverse cultures for inspiration. This ensemble hails from Ozbek’s Autumn/Winter 1996 collection. Only the jacket appeared on the runway, where it was styled in a more playful, typically Ozbek manner, with a brown pleated mini-skirt, white tights, a large golden feathered and jewelled necklace, and red boots with black fur cuffs.
