Object history | This costume design by Roger Furse is part of an extensive collection of designs purchased by the Theatre Museum directly from the artist & designer Alix Stone in 1994. The design was executed for a production of William Shakespeare's play "Twelfth Night" performed at the Old Vic, November 14th 1950. The cast included Alec Clunes as Orsino, Leo McKern as Feste, Paul Rogers as Malvolio, and Peggy Ashcroft as Viola. The production was produced by Hugh Hunt, the music was composed by Antony Hopkins, and the designs were by Roger Furse. Alix Stone worked on the production as maker of the costume accessories. |
