This unusual form of the child Krishna Bala Krishna), with four arms is represented displaying the major attributes of Vishnu, the presiding deity of whom Krishna is an avatar. The figure has lost its pedestal, but sits in lalitasana. The child has a ppointed top knot and is ornamented with jewellery. His lower right hand is shown in varada mudra with a lotus flower on the palm, the lower left holds a conch, the upper left a chakra while the upper right is broken at the elbow.
