| Object history | This Pugin design was registered at the Public Record Office on 28 May 1850. There are three preliminary designs in the V&A (D.1049-1908). See Wedgwood cat. no. 873, 1899. Historical significance: Most of Pugin's domestic textiles were commissioned by F.C. Crace the London furnisher. This is a very typical design. |
