A talllit or prayer shawl of white silk twill embroidered with white silk in long and short, satin and stem stitch with French knots and laid and couched work. The pattern consists of elaborate border of broken and interlacing foliate scrolls with lace-like fillings down the centre and the longer sides. The silk is woven with a series of broad and narrow blue bands along the ends of each length, two of which are sewn together to make the mantle. Later lining.
